Olliers ranked as a Times Best Law Firm 2022

Written 4th November 2021 by Olliers Solicitors

The Times has published their list of the Best Law Firms 2022, and Olliers has been commended by its peers and other law firms, in the ‘financial crime & fraud & regulatory’ category.

The Guide states:

Olliers, which has bases in Manchester and London, specialises in criminal defence work focused on “pre-charge engagement” with investigators. Many clients have no experience of the criminal justice system and the firm will often work to avoid a prosecution taking place.

Clients typically include doctors, lawyers, teachers, financial professionals and wealthy individuals. Those represented may face, for example, allegations of a sexual nature or of fraud and regulatory offences.

Recent work includes dealing with allegations of rape or sexual assault against a headmaster, a high-profile solicitor and a first-year degree student. All proceedings were dropped after successful representations against charge.

How was the list compiled?

Statista, an international market research firm, asked solicitors and barristers in England and Wales to recommend the best law firms in any of 26 categories covering business, public and private-client fields.

To make sure the survey was fair, respondents were not allowed to choose their own law firm, and technology and other scrutiny was put in place to prevent anyone from voting more than once.

Those with the most votes from more than 4,500 respondents made it into The Times Best Law Firms 2022. Scottish law firms were also surveyed.
