Olliers is looking to recruit an experienced criminal practitioner to strengthen our team of 20 lawyers. We represent clients facing serious criminal allegations, allegations of fraud, regulatory offences and professional disciplinary matters. We also act in inquests and public inquiries. We have a strong reputation for representing clients during the ‘pre charge’ stage of criminal case. We are looking for an experienced criminal practitioner with a good working knowledge of criminal investigations, the charging process and pre charge engagement. Caseload would involve a significant number of pre charge cases together with ongoing representation of cases prosecuted in the Magistrates Court and Crown Court. We would expect a good working knowledge of;
  • DPP’s Guidance on Charging 2020
  • AG’s Guidelines on Disclosure 2022 (and Annex B pre charge engagement)
  • The 2018 Code for Crown Prosecutors
