Maria Douglas

Maria has been with Olliers for over 25 years and has held roles in both fee-earning and business support. Maria now deals with new enquiries and ongoing investigations as well as liaising with the firm’s most senior lawyers on complex cases.

Maria understands the stress and anxiety that can be caused by any kind of investigation or prosecution. She is able to calmly and sensitively assist clients with navigating the criminal justice system. During an investigation or prosecution, Maria is always available to answer client’s queries and address concerns.

She understands the difficulties faced by clients who are often going through an extremely traumatic period in their life. She is known for taking a pragmatic approach and is able to remain calm, knowledgeable and empathetic whilst dealing with complex and emotional situations.

Maria works closely with directors, partners and all senior lawyers. She is uniquely placed to ensure that each client is introduced to the lawyer best placed to deal with their case.
