Connor originally joined the firm in the DBS department from September 2022 until October 2023 where he regularly drafted representations for clients who appeal their inclusion on the Barred List or are seeking to have an arrest removed from the Police National Computer.

Connor commenced his training contract in October 2023 and is involved in an array of different cases varying from ancillary matters such as fare evasion and SHPO discharges to cases in both the Magistrates Court and Crown Court. Connor has an interest in serious crime and has assisted partners in a range of cases including multiple rape trials, drug conspiracies and multi-handed violent disorders.

Connor is a police station accredited representative. He realises the importance of giving advice at this stage and the impact it can have should the client be charged. He has represented clients for a range of offences including serious sexual offences, Drug Importation and offences against the person
Connor has also completed the internal Crown Court accreditation and is currently developing his pre-charge portfolio.

  • R v ME – 2024 – Assisted Zita Spencer in representation of defendant in relation to a rape prosecution before St Albans Crown Court. The complainant was a high-profile politician and the case involved extremely sensitive issues. The defendant was found not guilty of all charges.
  • R v PB – 2024 – Defendant acquitted of four counts of assault by penetration at Stafford Crown Court
  • R v JL – 2024 – Assisting in the preparation of a sexual assault trial
  • R v RM – 2024 – Assisting in the preparation of a sexual Assault/ sexual offences against a child trial
  • R v PP – Assisting in the preparation of an indecent assault trial
  • R v NL – 2024 – Assisting in the preparation of a rape trial
  • R v JB – 2024 – Assisting in the preparation of a trial involving rape allegations made by multiple complainants
  • R v ND – 2024 – Assisting in the preparation of a Crown Court trial involving, conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, conspiracy to supply Class B drugs and conspiracy to transfer criminal property
  • R v AW – 2024 – Assisting in the preparation of a trial involving one count of rape and six further offences against a child
  • R v MS – 2024 – Successfully obtained a suspended sentence for a client who pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs
  • R v AR – 2024 – Successfully obtained a suspended sentence for a client who pleaded guilty for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs and the subsequent Proceeds of Crime Application proceedings were withdrawn
  • R v DS – 2024 – Successfully obtained a suspended sentence for a client who had been convicted of burglary
  • R v DR – 2024 – Applying to discharge Sexual Harm Prevention Order
  • R v DD – 2024 – Applying to remove notification requirements
